COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
In its effort to promote the dignity of Self & improve on sanitation, PEEEI intervened to fill identified gaps in this area for a rural community in Afikpo LGA in Ebonyi State. We mobilized resources to construct a solar lit 4 unit modern toilet facility with a Bore Hole and power generating set for the community . This is expected to positively impact on the psychological and emotional well-being of these rural dwellers
CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR INDIGENT CHILDREN
PEEEI Organized a Christmas party for indigent children in Durumi Community, Abuja. The event was borne out of love to share the season with children from economically disadvantaged families who would not have been able to witness the visit of Santa Claus. Father Christmas was brought to the children and they were very excited to receive gift items he brought from Rome š¤©š. The Executive Director used the opportunity to educate the kids on the value of being obedient and law abiding. The event reached 61 children and 21 parents.
EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT FOR COMMUNITY CHILDREN
PEEEI believes strongly that access to basic education is key to a brighter future for children. Educational materials were provided to build future leaders. A total of 1500 Exercise Books were produced and 500 students in Ozizza Community, Ebonyi state benefitted from it. This was expected to reduce the financial burden on their parents as well as equip the kids with the necessary stationery needed for school work.
TRAINING SESSION
In line with PEEEIās mission to achieve immediate and lasting change in the lives of citizens through education, PEEEI organized an online training webinar on the topic āSkilling up Teachers, Trainers and Young People for a Transformative futureā to Celebrate the World Youth Skills Day. A total of 35 youths benefitted from this session. This is anticipated to broaden their knowledge of the many opportunities available in the tech space and maximizing it to transition to the labour market and to actively engage in their communities and societies.
